You are right, just re-ran my test statement:
SELECT "ID", "CHAR_1", "DOUBLE_1", CASEWHEN( "CHAR_1" = 'RC1',
"DOUBLE_1", "DOUBLE_1" / 2 ) AS "RES_1" FROM "Table1"
It does indeed work in the query designer. The spreadsheet has been
updated to reflect this.
