Hi Don,
I did manage to successfully use the paste operation to re-create
tbl_BizContact - with all the data intact. The actual number of
records is
650. However, when I attempt to re-create tbl_Survey2006, I can only get
315 records into the table successfully, using the paste operation to
create
the table. #316 - #360 are dropped. Copying the remaining data from
Calc
and using Paste --> Append Data in Base doesn't add even one new
record to
the table.
My question now is, how to get the rest of the data into the table
quickly?
Did you try to use the paste special from the menu Edit->Paste Special?
Normally the html format is used, you could try the rtf format. May be
this works.
Nether the less please submit an issue for this perhaps you could attach
some sample data to reproduce it.
I am facing a major issue in that, frequently, attempts to copy data
in Calc
(for pasting into Base) lead to OpenOffice.org (2.0.3) freezing up on me.
I'll copy the data, and then attempt to switch from the Calc window to
the
Base window. Nothing happens, although I can minimize/maximize the Calc
window. With Calc minimized, Base is just a white screen. I can use
other
apps as well, though I have tried this without any other apps open. I
have
also experienced issues where OOo just shuts down suddenly, and asks if I
want to restart it automatically. These things happen whether using
Ubunt
Dapper (1.2GHz/256MB RAM laptop) or Windows (3GHz/504MB RAM workstation).
I'm willing to say it's crashed 20 times today, altogether.
And of course you send all crash reports :-) By the way one crash report
you send is already fixed in the cws dba205b
<http://eis.services.openoffice.org/EIS2/servlet/cws.ShowCWS?Id=4158&Path=SRC680%2Fdba205b>
:-)
Thanks again,
Don
Best regards,
Ocke
