Thanks for the heads-up Ger, maybe Matt will find what he's looking for there. Speaking from personal experience, OOo isn't good at interfacing a remote mysql server that isn't on a local subnet or a VPN or dedicated connexion. The ODBC connection just tends to hang or not even complete. In local networks, it works fine.
