Hello Tom,

I didn't used firefox but it seems that the jdbc driver has a problem. Could you please tell us which driver you are using and if there is a new one on their site does the issue still happen?

Best regards,

Ocke

I am using openoffice2.1 with jaybird to connect to a firebird1.5 database. It is a large poorly designed database. I am trying to use Openoffice as a frontend. After a couple of tries I get the connections from openoffice to work with firebird. I can see a list of tables in firebird. I ran the wizard for a form and created a basic form. One table all records no controls. When I go to run it I get the following message:
OpenOffice.org Base dialog box with the following:
The data content could not be loaded.

         java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredthrowableExeception

The more button supplies the following information:

error1 : description: The data could not be loaded. error2 : description: Error code: -1
                               java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredthrowableExeception

information: description: The SQL command leading to this error is:

                       SELECT * FROM "HOMDET"

When I okay out the form opens with all the fields but no data. I don't know where to begin as the SQL statement is fairly basic, the connection seems fine as OpenOffice clearly sees the table. Is there a limit to the the number of records that can be called? It works just fine using Paradox and the BDE to pull up the table in a form.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tom
