Hi Regina,
You have count and sum working? You are way ahead of me then.
I can use sum but it never gives me anything but the value of the last
record ( or current record ).
Count on the other hand gives me either " LibFormulaErrorValue{errorCode=505}"
if I use it in a function at the report level, or nothing if I use it at the
group level.
I am using a function definition of the type COUNT( [ID] ) where ID is the
PK field of the table.

OK, you show me, how to write functions, which can be used like
additional columns generated with a query.

Also, the point that Regina made is very valid

In the meantime I got that work, doing it exact the way Ocke has
described.

It is in no way a solution for "normal" user. How should they know, they
had to define their own SUM and COUNT? There must be another way.

Now I have got a report with two groups. In the outer group I want to
count how many subgroups I get for each outer group value. A simple
counting does not work, because it counts all the rows in the detail
sections together. Does someone has an idea how to get it?
kind regards
Regina
