today I finally found the time to go through your description in detail - please excuse the delay. What am I to say: An awesome tutorial that even I as a OO basic newbie could follow! Thanks a lot! I have entered function setColumnToDate (slightly changed to have the column name hardcoded in it) into the "before update" event field of my date column and got it nicely filled with the current date afterwards. Almost perfect! > Well, it is getting late and I need to take a break. So back in a bit, > with the "rest of the story" and I'll go over how to setup and call > these routines on that Main / Sub dataform Form and even throw in the > proper way to handle the change in the Scheduled Callback date when the > Contact Date control is changed. However, you made me curious. I'd be very interested to learn about "part two" of the story - I could really make us of those date calculations in the next version of my application and would also be interested to see if "before update" was the right field to trigger the macro. So if you could find the time to complete your excellent tutorial I'd be more than happy! So long, and thanks a lot Tobias --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
