Frank,
Yesterday I poked with Drews, macro example from this link, with OOoM4
and worked well(and with 2.3, and with drews 2.3.1, too):

Today I downloaded m5 and not working with example database on same link.

Just installed M5 also - nope it does not work - the event never calls
the macro, if I embed it in the Forum, a separate library other then
Standard or Standard.
To prove that it is never called I did this.
Add a custom library to the form itself, Libary1, add Module1 and copied
the sub procedure.
Assigned the event to this new location
ASIDE - When you go to assign the macro to 'Before Record Action' you
have a choice for a location of "Private:Object", with the libraries
Standard and Libary1
The address ends up as
"vnd.sun.star.script:Library1.Module1.onUpdateRecord?language=Basic&location=document"
Save it and close everything.
Start OpenOffice.org and load the database, open the forum and edit a
record.
Now with the form still open , open the Basic Dialog - select 'Table1'
and you see that both libraries are still marked as never being loaded
into memory ( not yellow )
I'll look for an issue and if not opened yet open one. But I'll try
other events first to see if any are working.
