Let me put it this way: I read (well, scan) the complete traffic in the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list, which means I have a quite high "daily issue load". Chances are good I'd miss issues assigned to me directly. And in opposite to QA, I don't have regular "let's have a look at all my/our open issues" dates, which means they will linger for quite some time with target "---" - which is below my radar, effectively. So, if you submit an issue without assigning it to me, then I will also read it, but chances are better it is put into the proper drawer (I usually do this myself when I consider the issue important enough).
