You asked for it! ;-)
I see many good ideas in your brainstorm results page. I look forward
to using some of them in a future release.
However, I still do not see a solution to the lack of multi-column list
boxes in forms.
The work-around described to me in this group several months ago does
work, but is still fairly crude and un-professional looking at the form
data-entry level. It would be nice to have:
1. The multi-column option in the form listbox creation dialog, rather
than to create a query manually, which is error prone.
2. To have defined-width listbox columns so that the data in each column
starts in a specific character column on the listbox line. Data that
does not fit the defined width could be truncated in my applications.
Better yet, offer a design-time option to truncate or wrap the data
inside the column.
BTW: IMHO, Bug fixing is most times more important than new features.
What good are new features if the old ones don't work! This is
especially true when a user is waiting for some feature crucial to his
application, to work.

If you read it, you'll find that this is pretty mixed stuff at the
moment, ranging from very small changes to large (sometimes even
esoteric) features. Well, that's okay for now, that's just a pool we
threw in what came to our mind.
Also, it's really on the feature level, you won't find a Big Picture
(TM) like "We want to make life easier for the following user group".
I'd claim that's okay for now, too ...
So, why I am writing this is as follows: You, as a user of
OpenOffice.org, be it casual or expert, for private fun or business
needs - what do you miss in this list? What would you like to see? What
would make your life with Base a little or much easier?
If you have an answer to this question, share it by replying to this mail.
Please be as concrete an concise as possible - I plan to collect and
condense your ideas, and put them into the pool, too. If everybody of
you would write 5 pages for every single idea, I'll soon be lost, so
bear with me, please!
Also, I kindly ask you to not add directly to the Wiki page, this would
soon get out of control.
Finally, don't ask me what's next. For the moment, we just want to hear
the Customer's Voice - your's!
So, surprise us (or don't) by writing down and sharing your wishes and
ideas.
