Hi Stuart,
Actually this list is for announcements of new features - but not to worry it's all good.
I am forwarding your email to the user mailing list [email protected] which is the proper place IMO to have sent it.
Also, there are ways you can address your needs currently in Base and I will go over a couple of those as a response to this email at that list.
Best wishes, Drew -------- Original Message -------- IME-Version: 1.0 Date: Thu, 29 Jan 2009 20:59:53 -0600 Message-ID: <[email protected]> From: Stuart Simon <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: Value delimiters Is this the right place for making suggestions? I want to point out a feature that Access has had for a long time but OOo still does not have. I primarily use OOo Base for cataloguing, and certain text fields are better explained by limiting them to a range of values. I have to do this from home, where I have a Mac and thus no MS Access. I want to be able to distinguish between "type" and "format," and make sure that other cataloguers who put records in my database will not have a chance of misinterpreting what I want. What I want is the Type field to be limited to "Text," "Image," "Video," and "Sound." -- Stuart Simon [email protected] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
