Therefore: After install the sun-report-builder extension you have to stop the office, also stop the OOoQuickstarter and start the office again. Maybe preferences problem with old preferences? Don't use old preferences of other open office versions, do: Stop the office, stop Quickstarter, set your OOo user profiles to an other place by: - Open openofficeorg31\OpenOffice.org 3\program\bootstrap.ini for edit. - Change the UserInstallation to c:\temp\OOoUserTree or something else, so this office will not modify your current office preferences. - Start this office, now c:\temp\OOoUserTree contains all preferences of this and only this office. Next point: Java problem? Do you use Java version >= 1.5.0?
