development builds...soon as I catch up on all the forum stuff I haven't

No I can't. It was my mistake. I loaded an odb file into 3.1 and did NOT
migrate the basic scripts from the forms to the odb file.
without the migration, the macros should still work as before.
Well, there you go a place for me to start looking for that bug.
