Hi Cor,
Is it possible to Install OpenOffice.org with Base but without HSQLDB ?
The idea is that users can use data-sources, but can not create an
internal database.
With the setup of OOo, I see no choice for this.
You cannot "officially" do this at the moment (though Ocke is currently
working on basing the driver/manager/settings stuff on the
configuration, which, beside the main goal to make connecting to
databases faster, will easily give us the possibility to introduce setup
items for every single driver, including the HSQLDB driver), but
removing the hsqldb.dll resp. libhsqldb.so from your installation should do.
Thanks for the useful info.
For clarity: It's not that there is any problem with the engine in this
particular case, but just that the company doesn't want users to create
their own database apps.
Ciao - Cor
