Howdy folks,

Have a question for the Linux aficionados out there.

Created a Base file under WinXP
(attached file oooDownloads.odb)

Created the definition for Text table in the database and sourced it to a file in the same directory as the Base file. (first time you connect [opening the attached .odb file..which you SAVED to some directory] it creates the file monthly.csv in the SAVED directory)

Add a few records.
(Maybe copy a file from the internet over monthly.csv in the XP directory...oh let's say )

http://marketing.openoffice.org/bouncer/200905.csv

Open the Base file and notice that the performance is quite good.

Now..

Lets run OO.o under Linux and open this same file.
(my way)
Reboot the PC and launch Linux (Ubuntu Jaunty specifically), with the XP disk mapped of course.

Open the Base file and reading from the Text table is now very slow.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking into as a way to fix this on the Linux system settings side?

Thanks for any help

Drew
