Ocke found and fixed a bug in Connector/C++ - now the native driver is faster then the ODBC driver when scrolling to the last record :) The patch is still subject to a review from the MySQL team (where the experts currently are ... on the Bahamas, or whereever they spend their vacation), but assuming that they approve it, the problem should be fixed in the GA release.
