Yes - that is the norm for report writers.

I think writer has much better features
for formatting and displaying data - if only I could create
detail tables except by using the forms table control.
Sure if you want to handle a lot of the housekeeping for reports.
Using a word processor for a report writer is a very old
practice.

The only thing we are missing is for someone to offer that
example I asked about.
What if we took one of the Writer or Calc templates,
available from the template repository and converted
it to a Report Builder template - that would be a good
example would it not?
