Password Policy changes in running system

Hi,
Is there a way to have changes to the password policy reflected in the system 
immediately after a change?
Modifications are made directly on the PPolicy entry but the changes don't seem 
to take effect until after the server had been restarted.
We're using the M11 build from yesterday. Thanks.
