Please note that when updating your system from the older 4.2 release
to the current 4.4 release or to the current master, you need to
build and install the world AND kernel (not just the kernel) before
rebooting.
If you just installkernel and reboot with the old world you will get
the old boot loader which will implode on the new kernel.
