El problema viene de la fórmula DDE esa rara con la cual el pegado
especial vincula celdas de otros documentos; en cambio si lo haces en
otra hoja del mismo documento, utiliza un vínculo corriente de
fórmula.
Por eso nunca uso esa técnica y si debo crear un vínculo lo hago
editando fórmula y seleccionando la celda del otro documento, con lo
cual el vínculo se muestra en la fórma habitual:
='file:///ruta/al/documento'#$Hoja1.A1

A mi me pasó igual que a vos, Ismael. La sorpresa fue cuando me
preguntaron "¿y como hacés cuando querés linkear todo un rango?".
la respuesta está en la ayuda (como tengo la versión en inglés: tipear
en el índice "reference" y seleccionar la entrada "to cells in another
document", el título de la página es "Referencing Other Sheets").
Estrictamente, la referencia es sólo a una celda, pero (punto 6)[1] si,
en resumen, arrastras de la esquina inferior derecha, se generan
automáticamente vínculos a las celdas sucesivas.
Algunas diferencias que puedes comprobar en el diálogo "Editar" -
"Vínculos", es que tienen diferentes tipos y status, diferentes opciones
si presionas "Modificar", etc.

1.Choose File - Open, to load an existing spreadsheet document.
2.Choose File - New, to open a new spreadsheet document. Set the cursor

The reference to a cell of another document contains the name of the
other document in single inverted commas, then a hash #, then the name
of the sheet of the other document, followed by a point and the name of
the cell.
5.Confirm the formula by clicking the green check mark.
6.If you *drag* the box in the *lower* *right* *corner* of the active
cell to select a range of cells, OpenOffice.org automatically inserts
the corresponding references in the adjacent cells. As a result, the
sheet name is preceded with a "$" sign to designate it as an absolute
reference.
