The maven-felix-plugin was an attempt to create a maven launcher for
Felix, which could be useful for things like testing. There are no
capabilities in the plugin for creating any sort of deployment package.
There was some discussion at one point about creating something for
"Felix products" or something that would allow people building on top of
Felix to package their application up in some way, but I do not remember
if this was related to maven-felix-plugin or something else altogether.
This may be good functionality to have here at Felix, but currently I
think the only project that does something like this is at Source Forge:

Not sure how active it is.
