Well, as I expected :/
I do agree that this is a complicated area, but what do you mean by
component certification? The development of a component
(bundle) that is 'standard' enough to be accepted in, for example, the
felix trunk ? Or other thing that I am completely missing ?
What I mean is performing any sort of evaluation of a component to
verify and/or certify some kind of non-functional characteristic about
it, such as resource consumption or latency. This type of certification
is difficult. It is a research area.

Thanks

Hello!
I need to provide some kind of SLA (Service Level Agreement) to
bundles running in a specific environment.
To provide this I need to infer the resource usage (cpu, mem, nÂș of
threads, etc) of the bundles running in the platform either by using
some kind of measurements at the jvm level or at the OS level.
The management API provides some mechanisms to infer this (for
example java.lang.management.ThreadMXBean) but I would like to know
if there is some kind of work on this area in OSGi like articles of
even implementations (open source please :) ).
My search using your favorite search engine turned out nothing
noticeable.
Thanks for any advice,
Miguel
