Funnily enough - one of our users recently asked us about the ability to create scheduled jobs. We hadn't taken it further as yet, but an OSGi service would make good sense as an approach.

Just replying to myself here - I guess mixing
java.util.concurrent.ScheduledExecutorService and the Event Admin service

Hi all,

Does the OSGi spec contain any standard services for scheduled processes?
There doesn't seem to be anything in the compendium or core specs. Should I
just look at rolling against Quartz itself or does anyone have any better
solutions/suggestions?
