Hi Charles, I'd really like to support a maven plugin for sigil. The reason we went for ivy integration initially was purely practical in that the ivy plugin api was a little more flexible than the maven 2.0 plugin architecture - specifically related to how resolution is handled.
I chatted to Jason Van Zyle a few weeks back and he thought some of the maven 3 changes would be useful - as this is moving towards a manifest first approach for PDE - sigil would fit neatly into that model (I think). I haven't had the bandwidth to go explore this yet though, interested if anyone on this list has any experience with the maven 3 architecture? On support for blueprint, sure though I would like to keep a core of sigil just focussed on vanilla OSGi development and then add support via plugins for extension mechanisms like blue print and ipojo (and many others in the future I'm sure...)
