OK, it is fixed now in glassfish trunk. I was not calling httpContext.handleSecurity for servlet mappings; it was called for resources only.

I have a feeling it has something to do with the implementation or lack of implementation of security in GlassFish OSGi/HttpService. I am looking into it.

Yes, I am seeing the reported behavior while running in GlassFish. I am looking for some clues here...

I'm seeing this when I have the web console installed in Glassfish 3
(except I get 8 login dialogs, not 4). I don't get any problems with the
other application I have which is starting its own Felix container. I
haven't been able to work out what's causing this yet.

Subject: Web Console prompts me four times for user name/password

I am using web console from the trunk. Every time I access it from a new

browser (firefox it is) session, web console prompts me four times for the user name/password. Has anyone else observed such behavior? This is very consistently reproducible.

Thanks,
Sahoo
