I used tptp a long time ago (so my knowledge is far from being fresh) and didn't use it with felix then. My guess is that's something wrong with you tptp installation. Did you install the files (also the platform dependent ones) and environment vars it needs?

I'm pretty sure there's a detailed howto that shows how to install and build tptp.. an excerpt might be found here:

To my understanding tptp is pretty neat, but there were better options. Did you try by ex. yourkit?
