Yes, I think you've connected the dots. The Adobe installer integrates with eclipse, that's what people I'm hiring are expecting, he wanted FP 11.5. Is this IDE integration information located anywhere, or is this resistance intentional to keep users more technical? I unfortunately don't have time to help him.

The Apache Flex Installer will create a fully working SDK that you can use right away. There's no need to go looking in README files unless you want to. The only missing step I can see is how to hook it up to your IDE and use it in your projects after the SDK has been created. While it usually straight forward it does differ by IDE and people may not know how to do that. The only reason you might want to modify the SDK is if you want to use features from a newer Flash Player (past 11.1) or a newer version of AIR (past 3.4). Thanks, Justin
