I'm on SDK 4.5.1 and running in debugger flash player, and observing when using
spark TextArea component that the vertical scroller doesn't reach the top and
bottom of the limits of the scroller component when using the mouse thumbwheel
(although, one can click and drag the scroller manually to reach the ends of
the scroller window).

This is only noticeable/problematic when the paddingTop and/or paddingBottom
properties are somewhat large. The result being, the thumbwheel-scroller
control doesn't allow one to view the padding space. Not sure if this is by
design.

There seems to be some default padding in the examples shown here,

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS02f7d8d4857b1677-165a04e1126951a2d98-7fd3.html

which, if you carefully observe when entering enough text to cause the vertical
scroller to appear, the thumbwheel-control doesn't allow one to get to the
extreme ends of the scroller window. Again, this is barely noticeable for small
(e.g. the default) padding. I use 20 px paddingTop and bottom and it looks odd
to the user.

Just wondering if anyone knows a workaround for this artifact. Thanks in
advance for any comments.
