I have checked again, the hardware button is handled correctly on Android (ends editing).
The stack trace indicates suggests that proxy couldn't be created, which is odd. When you create the JIRA ticket, will you please attach the full stack trace, and indicate if you are using 4.12 GA or latest nightly build. Thanks. Yes, I think hardware back button is not handled. Can you please raise a ticket for that: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX Thanks for reporting. Hi, just testet TextArea with the default skin on Android 4.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3. When I stop editing with the Hardware back button, I get the following error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at spark.components.supportClasses::ScrollableStageText/endTextEdit()[/Users/justinmclean/Documents/ApacheFlex4.12.0/frameworks/projects/mobilecomponents/src/spark/components/supportClasses/ScrollableStageText.as:1939] at Function/http://adobe.com/AS3/2006/builtin::apply() so I changed the skinClass back to spark.skins.mobile.TextAreaSkin.
