As I mentioned, I have inherited this code and the interval was already being set.
I do not see the need for an interval of 0.1. I think it will be ok to remove it. The 0 to 100 min/max is purely for example. In reality the data will range from 0 to 8 (maybe up to 10) so an interval of 0.1 is appropriate. Previously there was no minimum or maximum being set and I think the chart defaults to 0 minimum and 100 maximum. So before any data is even loaded which is then setting realistic min/max the interval is, as you say, resulting in 1000 intervals which cause it to then load like a dog.
