PlotCharts with background image

I need to have PLotCharts with a background image. For that I am using:
<mx:backgroundElements>
<mx:Image source="{image_class}"/>
</mx:backgroundElements>

I also added this to a test application:
.....
<mx:Image source="{image_class}"/>

Image tag shows the picture correctly but inside of the chart it looks
distorted.

Anything can be one here?
