The problem with FlexPMD is that it seems to be an old clone of PMD that hasn't
been maintained for years.
I didn't manage to get it fully operational (I was able to get the Ant stuff
running, but no chance with Somewhat up-to-date Maven versions). After quite a
lot of attempts to get it running I finally gave up. But I contributed a patch
to the original PMD project to make PMD extendable. This patch has been
accepted and starting from version 5.2 (Released 2 or 3 weeks ago) PMD can be
extended by additional Language modules.

I am planning on migrating the FlexPMD code-base to make use of these changes
as soon as the maven plugin for PMD has been updated to 5.2 and as soon as the
ApacheCon is over (Have to do quite a lot of work for that first).

Currently I would state that you can't effectively use FlexPMD, but the effort
needed to have it run in the original PMD 5.2 shouldn't bee that much. So if
you want to get started ... go ahead. If not I would like to ask you to wait a
few weeks till I managed to do so.

Chris

Subject: Reg. Apache FlexPMD

Hi All,

Is there any way that we could add/install the Apache FlexPMD in FlashBuilder?

Is it possible to build the FlexPMD by taking the source code from here [1] and
install it offline?

Thanks
