You can use the -keep-generated-actionscript option to see what ActionScript the MXML is compiled into. If there is lots of "just-in-case" code then you might be better going with ActionScript and you could start from the generated ActionScript if you want. But if you've removed data-binding in the MXML, there shouldn't be that much overhead from MXML. There might be unneeded calls to executeBindings, but they didn't seem to show up on the profiler data. Personally, I'd rather examine screenshots of Scout data than keep guessing about what code to write. -Alex
