Hello Davide! > fsvs store informations under etc and var. What about > using fsvs for / ? > Are fsvs files ignored automatically, or should be done > manually? The configuration file of FSVS, which are stored in /etc, are taken; the spooling file, in /var/spool/fsvs, are automatically ignored. (See http://doc.fsvs-software.org/doxygen-gif/group__waa__files.html for more information.)
Using FSVS for / is no problem; but, depending on your OS and configuration, you'll have to ignore some things, like eg. /proc, /sys, ev. /dev (if you're using udev), and something like that. See http://www.tgharold.com/techblog/2007/05/fsvs-for-sysadmins.shtml for an example. Regards, Phil -- Versioning your /etc, /home or even your whole installation?
