Well, I'd suggest to commit this in a few parts; eg. just split on some 
directories.

In my tests I did
    fsvs ci /usr/share
    fsvs ci /usr/local
and so on, to use a bit less temporary disk-space during commit.

Furthermore such a sequence could allow us to find out where exactly the commit 
died;
from your message above I can't see whether there might be unusual characters 
(UTF8) in
your filesystem, or whatever else might be the problem.

You could also try to use the debug_buffer option, to get the last debug 
messages when
the error occurs.


I'm sorry, but I can't deduce any source of the problem from the pure error 
message.
