Thanks for the reply. So as far as I can understand from your post it is not possible to do what I want to do. I would have to do recode the whole project to get this working?
I find the whole layer tree works great apart from the little exception of adding a layer to a particular node and not to ALL nodes. Is this really not possible? yours, Robert
