Hi Seth, Not sure if it is an elegant solution, but I solved it by overwriting the printProvider.print() function and replacing tilecache with our mapserver wms url.

In the end I created a wrapper script that would generate tiles for any WMS formatted request, or return a legend file (currently not cached but I hope to add that).
