Hi, I am developing a web app with GeoExt and using a layer tree.
Layers are fetched from a WMS server (mapserver) but layers names in the tree are used instead of wms_title parameter in the mapfile. Problem is that layers names are somewhat "ugly" due to mapserver recommendation that [quote] a layer name should not contain spaces, special characters and not begin with a number [/quote]. I know I can override mapserver recommendation but my question is: why GeoExt does not use wms_title parameter in the mapfile? Regards /raffaele
