I just did some experimentation and found that a very short .doc will save just fine. Then I cut and paste more into it -- and sure enough, at some point it will not save anymore and goes "gray in the face" and locks up trying to. The document I was first working with had 30k-plus words, BTW.
How can I uninstall a repo/apt-get install and start over?
