Hi :)

I have had this same error about "couldn't find source" on at least 1 but
possibly 2 or 3 linux distros too. I had assumed it was just my errant ways
and
found that closing & reopening my web-browser or rebooting the machine seemed
to
allow me to carry on.

The ditch Windows approach seems good advice to preempt other problems but i
would recommend the dual-boot scenario that most linux distros set-up by
default. Of course just taking linux for a test-drive first by using the Cd as
a bootable Cd is the best 1st step even though it is 100 times slower than a
proper hard-drive install as a dual-boot it still out-performs Windows for most
things!

Anyway, Windows is not the culprit here (unusually) and is not the reason for
changing yet.

Regards from
Tom :)

When a respected information source covers something where you have on-the-
ground experience, the result is often to make you wonder how much fecal
matter you've swallowed in areas outside your own expertise.
