which deleted the contents of my email while leaving my name and the appearance 
of knowing about the 5th tab thing.  The real person that gave the good advice 
was Luuk, i think.  The same person that chopped out whatever stupid thing i 
said in my mail.

The problem is caused by the client you are using for email. It is not 
indicating the lines 

quoted from the mesage being replied to. It is not caused by the editing of 
previous emails.

This last line appears to be from you even though it isn't. There are no 
indications it is in 

the message being responded to. Please configure your email client properly
