Hi,
Have you tried VirtualBox? I have Windows XP running in a virtual
machine which I run on my Ubuntu 10.04 desktop.
I can access my USB devices and can run all my Microsoft Windows
specific software on it. I have been using this in a production
environment for over a year without a problem.
Note that if you want USB connectivity you need to use the version
released directly from Oracle rather than the OSE version in the
repositories.
