Yes, just type in the new data and move on to the next cell.  The data gets 
sent 
straight to the data-source without any need to save.  The save button is for 
when you add or change forms, reports, queries or tables, it's not needed for 
the data.

Not using the Ubuntu version, I can't comment on this but just bring my two 
cents here: in the RDBMS world, there's not data "save" per se. IOW, the data 
are saved whenever the cursor leaves the current record to move to another.
