Not that I know of, but I can't really see the need for it. I would just put all the Writer documents at the same desktop area and all the other applications on other desktop areas, making it easy to switch between them with a keyboard shortcut (Mod4+⇥ in my case) and just about as easy to switch to another open application by Ctrl+Alt+→ or Ctrl+Alt+←. But if you really want this, you could file a ”bug report” about it. Yes, it's not a bug, but you can also wish for enhancements there.
