First, Thanks for trying LibreOffice.

Next, we need to ask What version of LibreOffice are you using?
Currently we have version 3.3.2 and version 3.4.0 out.

Next, do you have the Quick Start active? I do not know where the icon will be on Win7, but on earlier Windows version it was on the task bar on the lower right site of your display. There would be a little icon that shows that a small portion of LibreOffice is running so it will start quickly.

I know how you feel about "geek speak", even though I speak it well enough. I started with computers when they were room size, many years before they ever had something that could fit on a desk.

Once you let up know what version you are using, we can help better. If you do not remember, click on the menu options Help, then About LibreOffice. That will give you the information we need.

I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and I am having problems with
LibreOffice. After writing several documents and closing out Libre I cannot
re-establish "contact" with my documents unless I first close down my
computer and reboot. The message that I get is the Libre is running but I
know that I have closed all documents. What should I do? I am not computer
savvy - so unfortunately you will need to speak "english" - no geeks here.
Just a little old lady that used upset the university computer in 1970!

thanks for your help
