Hi :) Other pdf readers are likely to have a snapshot tool.
Jpg is lossy but png has lossless compression. I'm not sure how bad PaintShop Pro is. There are a few really awful ones starting with "Paint". Hi Gilles, One thing you could try is to open the pdf using adobe reader and user the snapshot tool to copy a selected area of the pdf and past that into your draw document. I've done this using adobe 9 and it works.
