Hello, I have been printing serial letters based on a MySQL-Database for years using OO-Base. Things worked more or less o.k., except that conditional text inserted on the basis of variables defined in the database never seemed to function correctly.
Now I have installed LO 3.4.1 and things have got worse. When I define conditional text, LO-Writer/Base ALWAYS just takes the "then"-branch, even if the test of the variable should point to the "else"-branch. Also, trying to print anything but more than ONE of a series of letters, various items defined in the document get left out (text, drawn lines, etc., etc.). Totally unacceptable! In addition, hyphenation signs at the end of lines gets printed half-way over the last letter on a line. On my Canon Printer (Linux-CUPS-Turboprint) I cannot select the rear cassette, i.e., when I select it from the drop-down box and then look at the selection before actually printing - the specification always reverts to "automatic selection" and then uses the front feed. I am afraid I will have to re-install OpenOffice, even though I don't at all like doing so because I like LO very much in the meantime, particularly its speed. From what I hear, 3.4.2 will target enterprises. Well, these will most certainly need a functioning serial letter capability! Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated. -- Unser Partner -- Unsere Bank: Raiffeisenverband Salzburg -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to [email protected] In case of problems unsubscribing, write to [email protected] Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
