I have only done these things in Basic, so I cannot comment on your main
problem....

Which list is that? Do you mean [email protected]? If
so, I believe that they ONLY handle questions related to bug fixes. That
said, I thought that they actively told people that this was the case
when they asked anything else.
If there is another LO dev list, I would like to know about it (because
I might like to post there).
