Hi :) I think it might be best to just file a bug-report about it http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport The guide helps you search to see if other people have had the same issue and reported it.
The 2nd file (russian table) opened fairly fine in Writer on Gnu&Linux (Ubuntu 10.04 (i think), LibreOffice 3.3.2) and WordPad in Wine. In Writer some of the table's row-heights were ignored and default-heights were used. The images in the first file, 96, were all anchored to paragraph which is a bit limiting. Also the "96" from the centre of the circle had vanished & i couldn't tab to it. I don't know if Rtf can store other types of anchoring. Doc and DocX have more options but .Odt seems to be best for images. Sadly MS Office only supports early versions of Odt rather than the newer one used by other programs such as LibreOffice. Same file is correctly opened by MSO 2010. May someone provide feedback on the issue?
