Hi :) The OpenOffice servers are very temperamental and often need clicking 3 or 4 times before getting a result. The url that didn't work for you worked on my 3rd click. I then saw a screenshot and panicked and closed it. Now i can't open it again :( Anyway it looked like advice for Windows users.
I think there are a few threads in LO about this. It might be worth searching the archives, perhaps using Nabble, if it works.
