Ahah, that makes sense of a thread on the Evolution mailing list now.  I think 
Evo has the same "Reply to list" feature as Thunderbird.  In mine i have "Reply 
to all" which might seem clearer but is not necessarily better and doesn't make 
up for other problems.

Thunderbird command "Reply to list" replies to the GMane newsgroup and 
to the list.
Now I "Reply to sender" and it goes to the list only.
